“Yoga is the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind.” I.II Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras
This explanation of yoga was written almost 2,000 years ago, but its goal feels ever more relevant today. We all know what it’s like to have whirling thoughts – our mind’s constant chatter always distracting us from living in the present moment. Yoga was indeed developed as a way to help calm our mind, so that we may live fuller, more peaceful and authentic lives.
In this course, we will merge mindfulness with the tools of yoga and yoga philosophy. It will be a journey of in-volution: to learn more about ourselves, our patterns; our deepest and highest selves. We will use our physical body by linking gentle movement, breath, and intention in order to help positively impact our subtle body – our nervous system, and ultimately, our mind. Here is your chance to truly ‘tune in’, with sound and chanting woven into each 2-hour session to elevate our vibration on a cellular level.
No experience of yoga needed. Just bring yourselves and an open mind.
Namaste! We look forward to meeting you on the mat.
